Do you need a degree to do online medical and ins billing? If not where can I go to get info on this topic? I have been told you need a 4 year degree to do this kind of work? Is general legal information available online? You can find out about just about any disease online, medical info is readily available. I have searched all over for legal information, and have been unable to locate any. It seems as though a citizen ought to be able to find out basic legal information without paying $200 an hour, doesn't it?

Currently in school online for Medical Coding and Billing and need some info/opinions....? I am enrolled in PCI Online for Medical Coding/Billing and will be done as of Sunday. My certification should take place soon thereafter, so I am looking for jobs now. I am looking into Medical Receptionist/Secretary jobs for entry-level experience and possibly C/B exp. My questions are: Online training wasn't a waste of my time, was it? I couldn't afford to go back and forth to school with my son & I couldn't afford daycare. Getting certified: What's the process, how long does it last, will I need to keep getting certified? Where can I go from here in education? Good schools to continue on to? Any other info u may have, please include... ALSO is it easy to relocate (I am near Philly) with this type of job?

What is a normal TSH level for the thyroid? I have read varying info online and not sure which to believe.? I had blood work done 3 years ago and the results came back that I had a 6.81 TSH and was sent to an endocrinologist, who described it as almost dead. He then ordered a second set of test to verify and it came back a little over 4, but wanted to me return in six months, which I did not do as the first visit and two sets of blood work had cost a fortune, with insurance. I started getting dry eyes about a year ago and at times it is unbearable. In the past six months I've noticed that I've been losing hair faster and it is significantly thinner lately. I'm also tired a lot and feel depressed. It occurred to me that it could be my thyroid. I had my thyroid tested last week and the TSH came back at 5.438. I have read differing 'normals' online and many medical articles have said that 'normal' was changed a few years ago and a TSH above 3.0 with symptoms are now treated, but other articles still list up to 5.0 and even 5.5 as the 'normal' high.

Can I get into a medical school in Paris? Hi everyone. I am a graduate of 2005, i graduated from a British School in Israel, but now I live in Paris with my father and as I just found out that I am getting a citizenship here, I decided I want to apply to uni for the 2007/2008 session. I would like to know weather with 8 GCSE passes (from A-C where maths and bio were A's, chem was a B and physics a C) And 3 A level passes (Russian -A, Maths -C &History E , i failed biology A level and the chem AS) & with the school diploma's pass being a "distinction" I can hope to get accepted into the medical school in Paris. Im almost at the required level with my french, but its my marks that worry me. If there is anyone out there who could tell me weather I stand any chances, it would be wonderful, because thers plenty of info online, but never it states weather with the marks such as mine it is possible to get into a Medical school. I have heard of gettting extra pay (flex pay?), if I choose not to receive medical benefits from a company?!?! When will they come up with an online pregnancy test? With all the advances we have in modern medicine...I am truly suprised that nobody has thought of this until now. My wife is going to school and will graduate from college...ONLINE I pay all my bills and conduct banking...ONLINE I can diagnose my own medical conditions and order medicine...ONLINE With the alarming rate of teenage pregnancies combined with the normal rate of birth in this country online pregnancy tests are the way to go. All someone would need to do is login to a website, enter their credit card info and answer a few simple questions and the site will immedietly tell them if they are pregnant or not!!! Computers have amazing powers and I feel this is a money making idea ready to happen...what does everyone else think???

A relative very close to me is having a cyst surgically removed inside her throat and was referred to a surgeon through her HMO whose bedside manner isn't great. Sex while being treated for Gardnerella? A couple of days ago I was diagnosed with having Gardnerella Vaginosis. I'm positive that I got it from my boyfriend, who I recently became sexually active with. I have been reading online that this is not a naturally occurring bacteria in the body, and that while you do not have to actually have sex to get it (heavy petting can also transmit the bacteria), if you have it, it MUST have come from someone else. My doctor says the growth is pretty thick. Since he is the carrier for this bacteria, is it ok if I continue to sleep with him as long as we use condoms (we were only using an oral method of birth control). And, does he need to be treated for this? I feel that he does, but several online medical info sources state that the male partner doesn't need to be treated. People use condoms to prevent other STDs, can they prevent a sexually transmitted infection? We've already abstained for 3 weeks while I was being incorrectly treated for a UTI. We're tired of waiting (mostly me)!

What week have you been told starts your second trimester? I am almost 13 weeks as of this Saturday. I've seen info online that says I am still in my first trimester until after my 13th week, but I've also seen medical/government affiliated sites that say I am already in my second trimester. What have you been told? My doctor considers me in the second trimester, as well. I know that I should go by that, but I wanted to see if there was an overall consensus.

Is there some kind of medical insurance for Canadians who want to get surgery in the US? We're planning on our daughter having surgery in the US due to the experience of the surgeon and the type of surgery. body odor...anyone know the cause or is it all in the head?!!? This is a really strange question but just wanna know what others think about it as i cant seem to find anything online under medical info. basically Im a clean freak. shower daily, sometimes twice a day and change clothes regularly.. i cannot smell underarm or down below smells on myself (can smell deodorant). lately ive smelt this smell around me and i worry its me and others smell it too. its like a poohey smell but not exactly like flatulance or faeces. ive smelt it straight after a shower once dressed, at work when sitting at my desk and sometimes at home when watching tv. when i sniff around theres no actual spot around me (or on me) that smells. do you think its a bodily odor from food? kind of like the garlic thing where it seeps from your pores? or is it all in the head? i suffer bloatiness, gassiness, bowel problems (diarrhea, constipation) and worry it may be a sign of something medical. anyone know? i use powder, soap, femine hygeine stuff. it may be just my nose. ideas?

When Morphine is given to someone with a terminal illness, does it speed up the dying process? I have a loved one who has advanced esophageal cancer, the doctors say, all that's left to do now is to make her more comfortable. She is being given Morphine for the pain. Someone told me this makes the body shut down more quickly. Does anyone know if this is really true? I can't find that info in my online research of the drug! Please help if you are familiar with this situation, or if you have medical knowledge.
